Tekton

ekton is an evidence-driven 3D digital reconstruction platform for ancient architecture, specializing in the preservation and visualization of Tang Dynasty timber-frame buildings.

Core trick

Every parametric 3D element carries a source citation and confidence tier, and a verifier rejects any geometry lacking one.

Description

ekton is an evidence-driven 3D digital reconstruction platform for ancient architecture, specializing in the preservation and visualization of Tang Dynasty timber-frame buildings. Problems We Solve: Digital Heritage Loss: Ancient architecture lacks systematic digitization, making it difficult for academic research, restoration consulting, and cultural preservation Traceability Challenges: Traditional 3D models cannot trace the historical evidence of individual components, making accuracy verification difficult Limited Interactivity: Existing visualization tools lack intuitive playback and control interfaces What Tekton Offers: ✓ Real-time 3D building visualization with 339 incremental construction states ✓ Evidence Chain Traceability: Every component can prove its historical source ✓ Interactive Playback System (play, pause, speed control) ✓ Precise annotation and documentation of key artifacts like Buddha statues ✓ Integration with actual conservation work and restoration consulting Tekton bridges digital 3D technology with heritage preservation, providing a comprehensive solution for academic validation, restoration guidance, and cultural asset licensing.

# Tekton 营造

### Evidence-based 3D reconstruction of historic architecture — *nothing renders without a cited source.*

> # 🏆 First Place — Claude Build Day Hackathon 🎉
> **Tekton won 1st place** at the Claude Build Day hackathon (Cerebral Valley), winning **$100K in Claude credits**.
> *— per the official Cerebral Valley winners announcement.*

Built for **Claude Build Day** — an autonomous build pipeline that takes a historic building from *cited research → parametric geometry → live, navigable 3D*, with every element labelled by how strongly it's known (measured / rule-derived / reconstructed / conjecture) and a verifier that refuses anything unsourced.

Four recreations behind one selector: **Notre-Dame de Paris** (the Viollet-le-Duc flèche · west towers & façade · whole-cathedral massing) and **南禅寺大殿 Nanchan Temple Main Hall** (782 CE, the oldest surviving wooden building in China).

#### How the 3D is generated — *not "AI makes an old-looking building"*
A parametric **rule engine** reads a cited data corpus and computes geometry from real architectural rules (e.g. the 1486 Roriczer pinnacle rule, *ad-quadratum* octagon geometry, the Tang *c
