ZoneZero
The problem.
Core trick
Argon fixes are limited to a 14-measure catalog, and a seeded ember simulator rerun with the same wind decides whether the ignition chain breaks.
Description
The problem. Fire-safety research from IBHS finds that most homes lost in wildfires are ignited by embers, through small details near the house: needle-filled gutters, open vents, a wood fence touching the wall, bark mulch against the siding. California’s new Zone 0 rules target the first 5 feet around a home. Meanwhile, insurers are dropping homeowners in fire zones, and a professional assessment takes weeks. Homeowners don’t know which fix actually matters.
What it does. You upload a short walk-around video, and ZoneZero:
Watches. Gemini 4 Argon reviews the video and lists every ember hazard, with the timestamp where it’s visible.
Models. Argon writes a 3D model of the property in one pass. It then renders the model from the video’s own viewpoints and corrects it until the renders match the real footage.
Burns. A seeded, repeatable ember storm runs on the model and logs the ignition chain. In our demo run, a shrub caught first, then the fence, then the neighbor’s siding, and the house ignited at 60 seconds.
Fixes and verifies. Argon picks fixes only from a fixed catalog of 14 measures and reruns the same storm with the same wind and the same random seed. The simulator, not the model, decides whether the chain broke.
Checks every wind. 24 Managed Agents test the hardened home in parallel: 8 wind directions × 3 trials, with every result re-checked locally. In the demo, 20 of 24 scenarios ignited before the fixes and 0 of 24 after.
Plans. The homeowner gets a ranked action plan with cost bands and a Zone 0 checklist.
Guardrails. Generated scene code runs in a sandbox and passes a validator before it’s used. Fixes can only come from the catalog. Every number on screen comes from recorded simulation results, never from the model’s text. Fixes that were tested together are labeled as a set and kept separate from untested suggestions.

README excerpt
# ZoneZero 🔥
**Film a 2-minute walk around your house. ZoneZero builds a 3D model of it, simulates a wildfire ember storm, shows exactly how your home would catch fire, and tests fixes until it doesn't.**
Built at the Gemini 4 Argon SF Hackathon (Oct 25, 2026). Track 2: More Dimensions, plus the Managed Agents side prize.

## Who it's for
A homeowner in a California fire zone who just got an insurance non-renewal letter. IBHS research finds most homes lost in wildfires are ignited by **embers**, through small details near the house: gutters, vents, fences, mulch, firewood. California's **Zone 0** rules target the first 5 ft around the home. ZoneZero shows *this* home's ignition chain and the cheapest fixes that break it.

## How it works (render → watch → critique → fix)
```
phone video ─▶ ① SURVEY (Argon watches the full video → inventory with timestamps)
─▶ ② GENERATE (Argon writes scene.js in one pass, using only the Scene Kit API)
─▶ ③ FIDELITY LOOP (render the model from the video's viewpoints → Argon compares
real frame vs render → patches scene.js → repeat)
─▶ ④ SIMULATE (deterministic ember storm, rec
