RecallOps
RecallOps helps a grocery chain respond to product recalls.
Core trick
Matches FDA recall notice lot codes against inventory tables in Snowflake, then has Claude normalize product descriptions and exceptions before queuing approved stock holds.
Description
RecallOps helps a grocery chain respond to product recalls. It connects a supplier's or FDA notice to inventory and orders, identifies affected lots, and prepares stock holds for approval.
Claude interprets product descriptions, lot codes and exceptions. Snowflake determines where affected stock exists and records approved actions.
The goal is to stop recalled stock moving and track action at each location. Built and tested live on 1,999 real FDA recall notices in Snowflake.

Notices are free text — UPCs, lot ranges, packaging variants, exceptions — and matching them to inventory is still done with spreadsheets, emails and phone calls to stores. > In December 2025 the FDA reported recalled infant formula still available at **more than 175 retail locations across 36 states**, after over 4,000 checks.
