Agent Interstitium
An owner for the post-discharge results that fall through the cracks — follow-up decision engine that switches antibiotic therapy by susceptibility, or escalates to the treating physician with a HIPAA-minimized page.
Core trick
Screens every ED discharge for pending results and, on a resistant culture, switches antibiotic by susceptibility or pages the physician with minimal PHI.

README excerpt
# Interstitium An owner for the post-discharge results that fall through the cracks. A patient is discharged from the ED on an empiric antibiotic with a urine culture still pending. Two days later the culture returns: the organism is resistant to the drug she went home with. She has no PCP. The result lands in a queue nobody owns, and she finishes a course of an antibiotic that was never going to work. That is one loop. The same thing happens to an amended radiology report, a high-risk patient who leaves against advice, a symptom that never resolved, and — worst of all — a specimen that never reached the laboratory, which produces no result for anyone to miss. This repo is the runtime for an agent that owns those loops: that screens **every** discharge for them, that cannot drop one it does not recognise, and that knows when **not** to act. **Live demo: https://annhuii.github.io/interstitium-demo/** ``` pip install -e ".[dev]" python -m interstitium --registry # route signals across every workflow python -m interstitium # the urine-culture loop in detail pytest # 105 tests ``` ## This is not a set of condition-specific bots The unit of work is not a diagnosis. It is **an unresolved item at discharge** — and every discharged patient is screened for those, not just the ones matching a condition someone thought to write a workflow for. Three things make that a property of the code rather than a claim in a readme: 1. **Intake
