SignalPath 3D
SignalPath 3D is a Nuxt 3 web application that simulates WiFi coverage in a reconstructed 3D apartment layout and recommends optimal router placement.
Core trick
Gemini converts a floor-plan image into wall geometry, then an RF attenuation model sweeps router positions to optimize coverage.

SignalPath 3D is a Nuxt 3 web application that simulates WiFi coverage in a reconstructed 3D apartment layout and recommends optimal router placement.
It uses Gemini to build the 3d layout from an input image of a floor plan

# SignalPath 3D SignalPath 3D is a Nuxt 3 web application that simulates WiFi coverage in a reconstructed 3D apartment layout and recommends optimal router placement. ## Project Description SignalPath 3D helps users eliminate WiFi dead zones by combining floor-plan ingestion, 3D scene reconstruction, and RF simulation. Users can upload a floor plan, generate/edit walls, assign wall materials, place a router directly in the 3D scene, and run a signal simulation that models attenuation through different materials (drywall, brick, concrete, metal, glass, and water). The tool visualizes coverage quality with a traffic-light heatmap (green/yellow/red) and supports optimization to find stronger router placement candidates for critical zones. ## MVP Snapshot This repository currently implements a full web MVP with: - PNG/JPG floor plan upload and scale calibration. - Draft wall detection (`/api/floorplan/detect`) with manual correction. - 2D-to-3D scene extrusion (`/api/scene/extrude`). - Material tagging for walls and furniture obstacles. - 3D volumetric signal heat cloud rendering (traffic-light buckets). - Server-side RF simulation (`/api/simulate`). - Server-side placement optimization (`/api/optimize`) maximizing weakest critical-zone RSSI. - Local persistence using IndexedDB plus JSON import/export. - Retro/Technical theme as default, with Blueprint theme toggle. ## Tech Stack - `Nuxt 3` + `Nitr
