Delegate
Delegate is a voice-first agent that acts on your behalf in real-world tasks.
Core trick
Voice intake builds a structured request, live web search validates providers, and a confirmation gate precedes any outreach.
Description
Delegate is a voice-first agent that acts on your behalf in real-world tasks.
After a short conversational intake, it searches for relevant providers, validates them using live web data, and reaches out with consistent questions (simulated for demo). It then returns a clear summary highlighting tradeoffs and uncertainty so the user can decide confidently.
Delegate emphasizes delegation with control — nothing happens without confirmation, and the agent never makes decisions for the user.
README excerpt
# Voice Practice Agent **Cartesia x Anthropic Voice Agents Hackathon (Notion)** — AI voice agent that role-plays the other person in difficult conversations so you can practice before the real thing. - **Expressive:** Cartesia TTS for natural, emotionally varied replies. - **Advanced reasoning:** Claude for in-character dialogue and conversation memory. - **Optional:** Notion (scenarios/memory), Exa (real-world context). ## Quick start 1. **Claim credits** (see [IMPLEMENTATION_GUIDE.md](./IMPLEMENTATION_GUIDE.md) Phase 0). 2. Create a `.env` in `backend/` with: `CARTESIA_API_KEY`, `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY`. For execution (provider search after confirm): `EXA_API_KEY` (see `.env.example`). 3. Backend: `cd backend && pip install -r requirements.txt && uvicorn app.main:app --reload` 4. Frontend: `cd frontend && npm install && npm run dev` 5. Open the app and pick a scenario → speak → hear the other person reply. ## How to check it ### 1. Set up keys ```bash cd backend cp .env.example .env # Edit .env and set CARTESIA_API_KEY and ANTHROPIC_API_KEY ``` ### 2. Start the backend ```bash cd backend pip install -r requirements.txt # if you haven’t yet uvicorn app.main:app --reload ``` Run the backend with `uvicorn app.main:app --reload --port 8009` (or another port). The frontend uses `http://localhost:8009` in `frontend/src/main.js` — change `API` there if your backend uses a different port. ### 3. Start the frontend ```bash cd frontend npm ins
