AstroLab
A virtual env for astrophysicists to find, test, and hypothesis research based on data via visualisations, initial reports, and simulations
Core trick
Orchestrator, planner, executor, and critic agents loop over FITS and CSV data in the browser, with critic feedback triggering reruns.

README excerpt
# Astrophysics Virtual Lab
Next-gen, browser-native research environment for astrophysicists. The Virtual Lab orchestrates multi-agent reasoning (Gemini marathon agents), high-fidelity visualizations, and Web Worker simulations to help you ingest FITS/CSV data, query public archives, validate results, and export publication-ready reports—all without a backend.
## Highlights
- 🔭 **Marathon Agents** – Orchestrator/Planner/Executor/Critic/Synthesizer loop with automatic retries and critic-driven refinements.
- 🧠 **Lab Notebook & Checkpoints** – Every dataset, query, and result is recorded locally for provenance and sessions auto-resume after reloads.
- 🛰️ **Data Fabric** – Drag-and-drop FITS/CSV/JSON, fetch curated samples (JWST, GWOSC, Gaia, etc.), and keep them in a typed `DataContext` Map used across agents.
- 📊 **Real-Time Viz** – Lazy-loaded Spectrum, Light Curve, and Knowledge Graph panes with GPU-efficient rendering and caching.
- 📝 **Secure Reporting** – Markdown renderer hardened with `rehype-sanitize`; Report editor previews share the same pipeline the agents use.
- 🌌 **Performance-Aware UI** – Starfield background and heavy canvases are lazy and respect `prefers-reduced-motion`; visualizations cache their Gemini responses.
